Research

Until recently there has been little information available which evaluates the effectiveness of this particular advertising medium. The Association of Mobile Advertising (AMAC) recognized the need for independent research to evaluate the effectiveness of mobile advertising which could be made available to clients and agencies.

To evaluate the effectiveness of mobile advertising AMAC developed a bogus campaign. The campaign advertised a fictitious brand of dog food - Boomerang - which was invented solely for the purpose of the evaluation exercise, and importantly, it was a brand which the general public had no prior knowledge of.

Executive Summary

The mobile advertising campaign was very effective in promoting awareness of boomerang amounts respondents. At the most optimistic scenario awareness of boomerang increased from 0 to 32 percent amongst those who were interviewed. Evidence suggests that awareness of the mobile advertising for boomerang tended to be higher amongst males and respondents between the ages of 18 and 34. there was a high proportion (74%) amongst those who were aware of the advertisements who correctly associated the boomerang advertisement with mobile advertising. Analysis has shown that respondents have also been able to accurately recall elements of the advertisement including slogans and product information conclusion.

This depends on where the unit is. We feel most of the time we average over 100,000 per day.

How long are the units on the road?
On average our units on the road 9 hours per day although we will run longer if you request it. You may wish to break the day up into two or three pieces, allowing your ad to be in all three drive-times. Drivers are allowed to take three breaks per day, during which the unit must constantly be in public eye. If there is a "Certain place" you would like Your Billboard to stop for lunch, just let us know!
